Just The Two Of Us
We’re a couple who loves to travel and we’ve been ride or die for 10 years. He works full-time and I’m self-employed. Yet, we make time for travel. We work hard so we play hard. He’s my biggest supporter, my cheerleader and I have his back! He’s the chilled, laid back one and I’m the adventurous one. He’s the techy and often the one behind the camera. I’m the creative one, typically coming up with some wild idea that needs to be executed. Yet, we balance each other so well. Together, we make a dynamic duo and make it all work.
Prior to us knowing one another and becoming a couple, we did our own individual traveling, with a vacation here and there. Once we hit the skies together, we learned that we truly enjoyed exploring the world and discovering new adventures together. We often joke that I’m addicted to the airport and in a constant state of wanderlust. Although Covid threw a wrench in our travels, we never lost our zeal and found places to get out and explore.
We both LOVE the water and will gravitate to any location that has pretty turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and beautiful views. However, we like to mix in lots of culture and sprinkle in city vibes wherever possible. Our travels primarily focus on mid-luxury but when we see a good deal, we’ll quickly snatch it up! If we can save money and see a part of the world at the same time, we jump at the chance.
The purpose of this blog is to help encourag other couples to get out and see the world, especially those of color. When we travel, we don’t often see people that look like us. When we do, we can often count them on one hand and there’s often an element of surprise. Sometimes we’re looked at as if we don’t belong, which is unfortunate. We’d like to see a change.
We hope you’re inspired by our adventures, our stories, or quite simply our dates around the world. We hope to be a resource for places we loved or thought we might but didn’t, hotels we like and don’t like, some of our favorite places to dine, and tips and tricks that help us as we travel.
