Experiencing the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa

Fiji has been on my bucket list for quite a while and it was a great way to bring in my 50th birthday! Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeting by a very friendly staff and helped by a woman named Angel. I told her that her name was befitting because she was so kind. And of course, we were given cold refreshing bottles of Fiji water!

We had a one-bedroom suite equipped with a full kitchen, gas grill, and washer and dryer. Although I travel with travel sized Tide®, this was the first time I was able to use it and not hand wash something that needed urgent attention. I was able to do laundry just for grins and giggles, but who really wants to on vacation?

Our suite was located in building 50, which was approximately one and a half miles from the main entrance. Needless to say, we got our steps every day walking back and forth several times each day, although there was the Bula Express to give guests rides to and from their buildings all day. There were even little bus stops.

The view from our suite was beautiful. We could sit on the patio off of the bedroom and watch the ships sail or sit on the balcony from the living room. We ate breakfast each morning in the adults only restaurant, near our suite, and the view was equally spectacular, with the addition of one of the gorgeous pools. The grounds on the property were beautiful and the drinks were great too!

There was also the Bula bus, which took guests around the island. You could purchase a day pass or weekly one and ride to other hotels for dinner, various excursions, or to the marina for dinner, shopping and excursions. We often caught the Bula bus to the marina for dinner, excursions, and of course shopping.

The marina had great restaurants and was the hub for many of the activities we wanted to do, such as sunset cruises, island hopping, beach days, and anything else that involved the water.

Fiji is a beautiful place to visit. The water was the bluest that I’ve ever seen any water. Everything was so picturesque. I heard someone say once that Fiji was God’s way of showing off and I could definitely see why they felt that way and I concur!
